Zelda Aged 2 years and 8 months.
I bought 2 female rats in may of 2015. One was Zelda and the other was Lyssa.
Zelda was very friendly, and I took her with me around the house. When she was pregnant, I took her around to my friend when I went to stay there. By then, I had two other females, Saffy and Lucy, so Lyssa was not alone.
Zelda had 15 babies on Sunday 24 January 2016. I couldn't believe how many she had given birth to!
Zelda's babies were a mixture of 'Blue Berkshire' 'Blue Russian' and 'Siamese seal point'
As their colours came through, I felt so proud of Zelda, she was such a wonderful mother!
When Zelda was getting older, I decided that if she couldn't get into the hammock with the other girls, then she came into my room in a large plastic storage container. Every day, I brought the other girls to see her. Every night, she ate a small dish of what my partner and I had. She sniffed the air and could tell it was her dinner being served! small amounts of mashed potato, with butter, fish and vegetables! she did not like carrot! just like some human children!
